WHO AM I, SPECIALIST DR. Eylem Emel ARIKAN (CEREN)?
I graduated from Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 2004. In 2005, I started my career as a Dermatology assistant at Istanbul Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital Dermatology Clinic. I received the title of Specialist Doctor in 2010. I completed my compulsory service as a Dermatology Specialist at Kahramanmaraş Yenişehir State Hospital, Elbistan State Hospital, Kocaeli Derince Training and Research Hospital. After my 9-year public service at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Training and Research Hospital, at Bahçeşehir University Medicalpark Göztepe Hospital Complex; I started working as a Doctor Lecturer. As of January 2023, I have been providing services in my own clinic in Ataşehir.
From the first day I stepped into dermatology, the special language of my branch, its clinical perspective, its puzzle-like dynamism, and the opportunity to work in a versatile way have always attracted my attention. I’m still amazed at how many functions skin has by nature.
The points where I have improved myself the most lately are; How can we have healthy skin, how can we support our skin without damaging our natural appearance as we age, without alienating ourselves in the mirror, and how can we make this situation sustainable. In this process, you; I invite you to be the beauty of your age, which is not synonymous with youth.
Aging cannot be prevented, but aging healthily is within our hands..
